A wall in the gardens below Prague Castle. At various times, the castle has been attacked with cannon fire. I don’t know the details of this cannonball: it is normally overlooked by tourists.
Victorian wing in Kilmainham Gaol (Prison) in Dublin. Especially just before the Irish War of Independence (1919-1921), many key Irish political prisoners were enprisoned here. At the end of that guerilla war, Ireland was split into Northern Ireland that remained part of te United Kingdom and a larger part, the new republic Ireland. The Kilmainham Goal now serves as a museum and as an important national symbol of this era in recent Irish history. It is used regularly for making movies.
