My photo club organizes an exposition every January showcasing members’ photos of the previous 12 months. This is the first time my photos are included as I jointed in 2009.
I submitted 2 series of images. Minimal captions are shown here because no captions were provided at the exhibition. More details of the images are provided in earlier postings.

Visitors were asked to hand in a slip of paper when leaving with the number of their favorite photo choice and their contact information. Those that voted could win a free print of that photo. So the visitors were more or less asked “which photo would you like to hang up in your own home?”.
There were 112 photos and 190 voting visitors. In top-to-bottom order, the above photos got 1, 16, 1, 1, 0, and 0 votes. There was a landscape photo (by Joop) that also got 16 votes. So my photo 2009_Andalucia_1086 (staircase in a Renaissance palace in Granada) was tied for first place. Note that if you look at average votes per photo instead of the “best” photo per photographer, I would come in third place. Joop still does very well (4.33 votes/picture), as does Tinus (4.00) and I come in third place (3.33, mainly due to a single picture).
Interestingly there are clear differences between how the photo club itself or photo juries rate the pictures, so the voting data is (as our Dutch Prime Minister recently said earlier this month when faced with a critical report) “just one possible opinion”.
